11:26 p.m. The music was loud but so was Shane Koyczan, a spoken word poet who drew a cheer for saying: “yes, we say ‘zed’ and not ‘zee’.” No wonder. The organizers say they have installed 55,112.5 pounds of loudspeakers. Presumably that extra half a pound made all the difference.
Любому человеку, хоть раз покидавшему США, Либерию и Бирму, очевидно зачем были нужны эти полфунта динамиков. Однако нетрудно убедится, что на самом деле там было 55115,5 фунтов. Нью-Йорк Таймс ошиблась аж на 3 фунта. Shame!
